February 8th, 2018, at the Joplin Writers’ Guild Romance Writing Contest, my entry entitled “Latte’s and Love” placed 3rd in the annual Love and Romance story contest.
The story was a tale about a couple, on the verge of becoming engaged. The only thing standing n their way was an old family tradition. Cami wanted Sam to ask her father for her hand in marriage. At first Sam resisted the idea, but finally the love Sam had for Cami changed everything for the couple.
When Cami’s dad. An old southern gentleman who was entrenched in the old ways, entered the Internet Café, Sam fund the courage to ask for Cami’s hand while defending their relationship to the colonel.
The story has a surprise ending that no one at the meeting saw coming!
I came home with a certificate and a $10 gift card for Vintage stock.
