Always Dream Big

There are no rules for setting goals for your life, so dream without boundaries for the best chance to find success and happiness.

What are your dreams?

For some people their dream may be to get out of debt or to move into management.  For others it might just be to be able to walk again without either pain or the use of mobility aides.

Regardless of who you are, or even if you realize it or not, everyone has a dream.  If you don’t know what your dream is, then you should spend some time discovering what you want in life before it is too late!

Go big or go home!

According to, the phrase “go big or go home” is an exhortation to go all out, to put all of one’s effort into an enterprise, to experience something to its fullest, to be extravagant.  Simply put, go big or go home is a philosophy that encourages one to be bold.

Go big or go home is something you should always be doing when you dream about what you want in life or what you want your life to be like.

Do not limit yourself with small dreams.

Having small dreams will limit your potential.  Make them as big as realistically possible.

If your dream is to get out of debit, you can supersize that dream by adding that you want to retire with $250,000 in your 401K!

If your dream is to get into management, why stop there.  Dream about being a CEO of your company – or better yet own your own business!

If your dream is to walk without pain and without mobility aids, don’t stop there.  Dream of running a lap at the local high school track.

Whatever your dream is right now, enlarge it!

When you enlarge your dream, make it something just outside of what you think you can achieve.  Remember, success is always found just outside of your comfort zone.

Be careful!  You want to push the envelope and stretch yourself, but do not create a impossible dream.  For example, I could dream of being a NBA center for the Oklahoma Thunder.  Since I am only 5 foot 6, way past the age of the oldest NBA player, and can only stand with a walker, that dream would be impossible for me to fulfill.

Don’t just have a dream, make it into a goal!

I believe that a goal without a plan is just a dream.  That is why every dream you have you need to develop a solid plan for the best possible chance to succeed.  When that dream becomes a goal with a plan and you start to execute that plan on a daily basis, the odds of achieving – if not exceeding –  your dream will be immeasurable!
