9 Negatives in your life you need to put in the trashcan now

If you want to improve your chances to succeed in life and archive your goals, you must get rid of the negative garbage in your mind.

A negative mind results in a negative life.

If you look at life and everything is viewed in a negative way, you are setting yourself up to foster negatives thoughts in your mind.  When this occurs, you begin to expect the worst from people and situations.  This always leads to a negative outcome to everything you try to do.

If you want the best possible chance for successful outcomes, you need to take the following 9 emotions and leave them at the curb for the garbage truck.

1 – Anger

There is a comedy group based in Canada called the Frantics.  One of the comedy sketches entitled Ti Kwan Leep.  In this sketch a student tells the instructor that “anger is a weapon only to one’s opponent”.

“Anger is a weapon only to one’s opponent” is a very true statement.  When you allow yourself to become consumed with anger, you are giving the person the power to control how you feel.  When you feel anger, you will not feel productive and your potential for success can drop drastically.

2 – Bitterness

Bitterness about a failed relationship, a missed opportunity or a feud between friends only robs you of joy.  Without joy in your heart, you are less likely to be successful.

3 – Disappointment

A setback when you are pursing any goal is a disappointment.  Often when people feel disappointed, they believe they are the only person who has ever been disappointed in life.  That is wrong.   Everyone experiences disappointments in life – especially when one is striving to succeed.  Disappointments, if you allow them to fester and grow, will become as large as a 10-foot wall that is an obstacle in your life.

4 – Envy

Envy is often known as the green-eyed monster – and that description is very accurate.

Envy can consume you, making you jealous of everyone.  Envy feeds itself by telling you that you are not as good as anyone else.  Envy also will tell you that you will never be successful.  For these reasons, envy must go!

5 – Failures

Failures are a part of life (unless you do not try at all -and that is not acceptable if you want to succeed in life).

If you dwell on your failures, that can lead to you giving up on yourself.  You are better than that!  When failure occurs, learn from it then get that failure out of your mind!

6 – Hatred

I once heard, from I believe a young child, that hatred is a very big word.  That kid was onto something.  Hatred may only have six letters, but the word is so big that we often can not see beyond it.

Hatred robs you of seeing the good in people.  It makes you want to get even with the person or entity that offended you, often by seeking revenge.

Both hatred and revenge will get you nowhere good in record time.

7 – Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes in life.  Some mistakes are small, while others are larger, and a few may seem gigantic.  If you keep kicking yourself for a mistake you made, you are going to get stuck in life and possibly not reach your fullest potential.

Seek forgiveness from those who were impacted by your mistake.  Regardless of if they forgive you or not, forgive yourself and strive to become a better person.

8 – Regrets

Everyone lives with regret in their life.  The trick is not to let that regret consume you.  Keep regents in proper perspective and get rid of the regrets that may be holding you back.

9 – Remorse

Remorse is like regrets.  Not everyone may be living with remorse, but if you are, be sure to either keep that remorse in perspective or let go of it before it impacts your potential to be successful in life.
